I’m about to give up on Firefox
Firefox lately has been throwing me into a complete fit. It seems two or three times a day my laptop locks up and is totally unusable. Once I can get the Task Manager to finally load. I see the culprit. The same one every time. Firefox.

I never hear any complaints from my cohorts here in the office, so I assumed it was something specific to my machine, setup, extension selection . . . something. But after doing a little searching this morning, it appears I’m not the only one with a problem. This thread started in 2004 with version 1 of the product, but is currently 23 pages long and has had a post as recent as a few hours ago.
I’ve updated to the latest version [2.0.0.6 as of this posting], but I do have several extensions working. I’ve tried uninstalling a few extension that I don’t use too often to see if one of them might be the thorn in my side. I’ll post the results if my problem disappears.
Mozilla is obviously aware of the problem as they have a wiki with some information. I almost said helpful information, then thought better of it.
Of course while I keep complaining and bitching about it, I’m still using it . . . even for this very post. The tools are extremely helpful, most of them necessary to my day to day work. So I must forge on. But if this continues to waste more of time time, I’ll just have to find something else.

Hey there David! I’ve had that happen to me a time or two and I do wonder if it is due to some add-ons experiencing some memory leak. When I run Firefox ‘naked’, I don’t have any issues at all.
