Stupid talented people . . . always makin me look bad.
You know, every once in a while you stroll on to something and you’re like, wow, that’s awesome. Well today I ran across a friend/ex-coworker’s account on Flickr. Nice.

I mean, I knew he had talent. I went to a showing of his at the Elbow Room last year to check out a show he named “Pause”. Come on. He had a show. A show with an actual name. At an establishment. But still.
So . . I take my camera on some lame trip, snap off 300 – 400 pictures, download them to my pc and upload the two or three that are in focus. At the same time, I look at a couple of pics and think . . well “that’s not too bad“. “That’s a cute pic.” Or “That one makes me mildly thirsty.”
But then I quickly scroll through the random 32 pictures Bobby uploaded in mid February of this year and think, huh, I reeeaaly suck at photography. It’s kinda a kick in the pants. It’s a little demoralizing.
I mean, I go around snapping pictures of cool subjects and upload some crap like this, then I see his version.
I’m not going to go selling my camera . . let’s face it, it’d fetch enough to buy UHH pair of socks or UHH vintage can of New Coke [but obviously not both]. I enjoy doing it, so I’m going to keep taking pictures.
I’m just sayin. I’m a little jealous, that’s all.
