Two rants for today

Ugh, I’m so done with today.

One.

Does anyone out there realize that products like DVR are extremely popular because of their ability to tape programs and when the user is ready to go back and watch the taped program, he/she has the ability to skip over commercials?

Does anyone out there want to watch a channel that consists solely of commercials?

No. Then STOP sending video files of commercials to my email address. I don’t care if you think they’re funny. They’re not. And Lord, have mercy on those souls that send me text jokes.

Two.

Why, when you schedule an appointment with an organization like Dish Network must they try to narrow the window down to five measly hours? When we all know good and well . . . they aren’t making it within that window. That window could be three weeks . . . and they’d show up three weeks and two days later.

Are you honestly telling me a FIVE hour window is not enough time to plan out your day and make it to my house for a simple house call? I could understand if this happened once. But I’ve had Dish Network out to my house no less than four times including installation, and they have never . . . repeating never . . . been here within the scheduled window in which they first promised.

So . . here I sit . . 56 minutes after my window has shut for the day, waiting. As if I have nothing to do. Just . . . you know . . . whenever you’re ready folks. I’ll wait here at your beck and call. Locked in my house. Tethered to my phone. Waiting to be graced with your presence.
