Finally . . . . finally, finally, finally

After a decade long search [and a 4 month long closing debacle], my brother and I finally found a small piece of land to catch a few fish, shoot a few guns, and have a few beers.

Two and a half hours to the east, near Mt. Pleasant, rests the tired, empty town of Bryan’s Mill. Nothing happens there. In fact, nothing happens within 45 minutes of there, which is perfect.

Bryan's Mill Cabin

As it sits now, it’s a small cabin with a large deck, a small pond and just under 20 acres of towering hardwoods. In the next 9 - 12 months we’ll double the size of the cabin . . adding 3 [small] bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

It’s currently without water, but that’s first on our list [as mandated by the shot-calling women involved].

I’ll keep a ridiculously extensive photo journal of the construction, and post a few pictures of the progress here as we go.

That is beautiful and AWESOME! We just spent a week in NE Missouri out in the woods and I didn’t miss working or the computer (a first). I love the peace, quiet and smell of CLEAN air.
